ational Affairs of IMSF, the bellow news is intent to exploration the depths cave in Iran.
On September 7th, during some days attempt intent to cave exploration, a team of cavers from various caving clubs, could reach to depth of -806m of "Jojar" cave in Kermanshah province (weste
Iran). With this recorded depth, Jojar becomes the deepest cave of Iran, putting Parau cave (-752m) in the second place after 43 years.
In this expedition, 2256.8 meters have been mapped. And, since the cave still continues, team members hope to organize more expeditions to explore both Jojar and other potential entrances in the region.
Last year, the team had reached to -568m depth of the "Jojar" cave.
Iranian Mountaineering and Sport Climbing Federation (IMSCF) supported some of the required equipment for the expedition and some IMSCF’s members and instructors participated in that.
