Dear colleagues,
At the end of May 2012 we sent to your DPPI an invitation to the Cave Rescue Training (CRT 2012) event. Please contact your own national DPPI representative for details! The CRT 2012 will be held in Sežana, Slovenia, 15th - 23rd September 2012. The training represents a contribution to the DPPI SEE DMTP 2012th.
All candidates must be experienced cavers. For the first time, we will be conducting an examination in rope techniques and rejecting any candidate with insufficient rope skills. The exercise will be in caves with 50m to 200m deep pits and will be physically demanding. This criterion is part of the program! We have set ourselves the goal of training participants to solve specific problems set in actual caves. Knowledge gained can then be passed on to other rescuers (emergency services) once back in their own countries.
Finally, please submit your registration forms in a timely manner and your no later than the 31st July 2012. All requests (1-2 per country) must be approved by your national DPPI representative.
I wish you all a wonderful weekend.
Best regards,
Aleš Stražar
